Grade 10 (other reads)

These pages are for other books that I have read this year without writing about! I will include my opinion on whether or not I liked the book as well as a rating! Hope you enjoy:
Pure- Terra Elan McvoyTabitha and her four best friends all wear purity rings, symbols of the virginity-until-marriage pledge they made years ago. Now Tab is fifteen, and her ring has come to mean so much more. It’s a symbol of who she is and what she believes—a reminder of her promises to herself, and her bond to her friends. But when Tab meets a boy whose kisses make her knees go weak, everything suddenly seems a lot more complicated. Tab’s best friend, Morgan, is far from supportive, and for the first time, Tabitha is forced to keep secrets from the one person with whom she’s always shared everything. When one of those secrets breaks to the surface, Tab finds herself at the center of an unthinkable betrayal that splits her friends apart. As Tab’s entire world comes crashing down around her, she’s forced to re-examine her friendships, her faith, and what exactly it means to be pure.
I enjoyed this book, but I found it dragged on, and lead us to get bored along the way to the ending. I would give this book a 3 out of 5.
The summer of first and lasts - Terra Elan McVoyCalla loves summer because summer means Duncan. They’ve been best friends for years, but Calla has never worked up the nerve to tell him how she really feels. This summer, the summer before college, is Calla’s last chance.
Violet isn’t much of a rule breaker in real life. But this isn’t real life, this is summer, and Violet is determined to make the most of it. Besides, a little sneaking out never hurt anyone. And sneaking out with James is 100% worth the risk...even though James is completely off-limits.
Daisy has never been the sister that boys notice, but when sparks fly with Joel at the first bonfire of summer, it seems so easy and right. So why is being his girlfriend so complicated?
The summer of first and lasts jumped back and forth from different narrators. which i am not a big fan of, but I did like how the three different girls stories cam together in the end so they were all connected together. I would give this book a 3 out of 5.
The Summer I turned Pretty Series- Jenny Han
(The Summer I Turned pretty, Its Not Summer Without You and We Will Always Have Summer.)

The story of the trilogy follow a young teenage girl named Isabel "Belly," Conklin and the summers she spends at a residence known as Cousin's Beach, with her mother and older brother, Steven, along with her mother's lifelong best friend, Susannah, and her sons, Conrad and Jeremiah
These are three of my favourite books that have ever read. this books contain so many different emotions, I felt so close to all the characters, as well as every obstacle that they faced. I couldn’t put these books down, I loved everything about them. I would give these books a 5 out of 5. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a wonderful book.

Over You-Emma McLaughlin and Nicola KrausWhen seventeen-year-old Max Scott got her heart broken she didn’t just sit at home sobbing into her ice cream and obsessing over her ex, Hugo’s, latest Facebook postings. Well, actually she did. But she also decided that no girl should have to be tortured like that, so she read through all the psych books, Oprah transcripts, and historical precedents she could get her hands on and came up with a foolproof program to get over being dumped.
These days, Max is the go-to guru for heartbroken high-school girls all over NYC. But when Hugo shows up in her neighbourhood, suddenly Max is so busy trying to avoid her own ex that she isn’t able to help anyone else with theirs. As Hugo invades her life all over again, Max’s carefully controlled world starts to unravel. With her clients’ hearts hanging in the balance, Max will have to do the seemingly impossible: get over her ex once and for all.
This book was a fun read, it had different topic then I have ever read before. I really enjoyed the theme of this book. I didn’t enjoy that they really didn’t let us get close to the characters. I would give this book a 3.5 out of 5
When you were mine- Rebecca SerleRosaline knows that she and Rob are destined to be together. Rose has been waiting for years for Rob to kiss her—and when he finally does, it’s perfect. But then Juliet moves back to town. Juliet, who used to be Rose’s best friend. Juliet, who now inexplicably hates her. Juliet, who is gorgeous, vindictive, and a little bit crazy...and who has set her sights on Rob. He doesn’t even stand a chance.

Rose is devastated over losing Rob to Juliet. This is not how the story was supposed to go. And when rumours start swirling about Juliet’s instability, her neediness, and her threats of suicide, Rose starts to fear not only for Rob’s heart, but also for his life. Because Shakespeare may have gotten the story wrong, but we all still know how it ends….
This book was very cool, I enjoyed how it told a timeless story in modern time with a different twist. This book was a good read and keep me interested the whole time. I would give this book a 4 out of 5.
