Free style!
What if you were married in your last year in high school? What if you were married to a guy you can't stand? Could you imagine pretending to be married, to manage your fiances, or take care of the twins, all while you had to study for finals? Me neither! But when a mandatory course called "Tying the Knot" makes Fiona married to her worst nightmare, Todd Harding, the rich the popular and boyfriend to the one, the only, Amanda queen bee. As if her final year of high school isn't bad enough Fiona has to deal with the hardest thing this school has done to the students in a long time. This course is supposed to teach them how to be married because the marriage rate is dropping so quickly so the school has come up with a mock marriage to show all these kids that it isn't always simple to be married, by giving them a mock budget, a mock home, and mock children.

Hero Archetype
The book I am reading is "Undomestic Goddesses" by Sophie Kinsella. The hero within my story is Samantha Sweeting, some of reasons why Samantha is a hero is because she is,
Innocent- Samantha is innocent because outside her world she is inexperienced. She is a lawyer and that is all she knows how to do, she is completely unaware of the outside world, thus making her innocent. On page 103, it states "Being a lawyer is what I was meant to be, not a housekeeper I can't even buy vacuum bags, and this woman is expecting a seven course meal." This showing she only knows one thing.
Willing and adventurous- Samantha is willing and adventurous because she takes on this job, having no idea of what she is getting into and doesn't stop. She wants to take it on and won't lose, this starts her journey of her being willing and adventurous.

Reluctant-Samantha is reluctant because she is unwilling to forget her old life. When she starts over, her new job and takes on a totally different type of life she is afraid to forget and let go of her past and where she has come from. This is a strong charastic of a hero, and Samantha shows a great deal of reluctance in this story. Example "As my hand rested on the mouse I could not bring myself to look away from the page. Everything I had worked for gone, wiped out."
I think this quote shows that a hero must think of others then think of their self. To remeber to always forgive but to move on when the time is needed.

Archetypal characteristics
I have just finished Kiss&Blog by: Alison Noel. The book was a great choice for teen reading! As for the character archetypal I think that Sloane, who was Winter's (The Heroes) ex-best friend, she ditched Winter as soon as she became popular and then throughout the book changed from a best friend to an enemy then a friend again, and so on. Not until the end of the book did we find out what side she was really on, and who she was going to stab in the back. She tended to change her role and personality throughout the book, she is hard to understand and her loyalty was very uncertain. Sloane changes Winter through out the journey. Sloane also made Winter question all of her beliefs. I believe this of Sloane because in the book it states "the table A sabotage is moving on a lot quicker then I realised (since I had to admit to sometimes being a little preoccupied with Rey, and not as focused on her as i should be), and now she's actually wondering if her enemy just might be them and not me, and so she is actively seeking an emergency backup friend just in case the whole thing blows." (page 160) This is why I think Sloane is the SHAPE SHIFTER.
